Licence Checks from Focus
We get all our data directly from the DVLA. This includes details of the vehicles that a driver is allowed to drive, details of endorsements or disqualifications, and the dates of expiry of the licence and photo card.
All licence data is presented in an online portal and we provide notifications to alert you if there is a problem with a driver. We also provide a notification if a driving licence, photo card or entitlement is close to expiry, warning both the employee and employer that action needs to be taken.
How does it work?
It's really simple. The employee completes a mandate form that allows us to obtain information from the DVLA for 3 years. We can then make checks on your behalf (typically every 6 months, or 3 months if an employee has a large number of points) and compile the data in an online portal.

Two Checking Services
Express Service
Our Express service will provide information above entitlements and endorsements typically within one working day. This is a useful service for pre-employment screening. We can only handle small volumes via this service. You may wish to make our mandate form (that must be signed off by the driver) part of your job application pack.
Standard Service
This is intended to be used as part of routine checking where the results are not required within a quick time frame. This service is low cost and designed to remove the administrative burden from office staff.
