Driver Risk Assessment

Accident reduction is key to reducing the ongoing costs of running a fleet of vehicles. Our Driver Improvement Programme can identify and target areas for improvement in both drive attitude and capability on the road.

How does it work?

Typically we will work with the employer to tailor a package of measures suitable the type of vehicle being driven and the type of driving typically undertaken. For example, training would differ for multidrop drivers as opposed to heavy haulage drivers.We have a number of online risk assessment surveys we can also use that will help identify which drivers are most at risk and would benefit from further training.

Training Options

On road training

There is no substitute for onroad training. The trainer can quickly identify bad practices and habits and take steps to correct them. This aims to reduce accidents, unisured losses, and prevent negative perception of a company's drivers on the road.

Classroom seminars

Classroom seminars are best combined with on-road training to discuss safety and legal aspects of driving before going out on the road. It is a chance for the trainer to build a relationship with the drivers, explain the purpose of the training, and also cover in detail aspects of safe and considerate driving.

Online Assessments

We currently have a number of online driver risk surveys / assessments that we use as part of a package of training measures. We recognise that companies often have limited training budgets and these need to be effectively targeted to achieve best effect. We use online assessments to screen employees to identify those who would most benefit from our training packages.

Eco Driving

We are passionate about economical driving. Not only does efficient driving reduce emissions and benefit the environment, it can save business a huge amount of driving. Our eco driving teaches drivers how to drive to maximise fuel economy. We meausure the fuel economy of the vehicle being driven before and after training and typically 20% savings are achieved.
